Droits et devoirs des candidats au DELF-DALF

Chaque candidat aux épreuves du DELF et du DALF a des droits et des devoirs.

Inscriptions

The candidate has the right to:

  • register directly for the exam of their choice without having to verify that they have achieved a prior level of this exam, or any other test.
  • register at the approved exam centre of their choice.
  • to sit an exam as many times as they want until they achieve the diploma, on condition of having obtained their results before moving to a new registration.
  • receive specific arrangements if they have a disability, as long as they provide a medical certificate two months before the date of the tests.
  • re-enrol for the following exam session after publication of the results, regardless of whether they have passed or failed the exam.
  • request that their registration be reimbursed or transferred to the following session in the event of a justified absence (a medical certificate must be provided).

It is the candidate’s responsibility to:

  • respect the registration period for registering with an exam centre.
  • send all the information required for registration (contact details).
  • settle the cost of registration fees within the period indicated.
  • choose the version of the exam that corresponds to their profile (older teens and adults: “tout public” or “Pro”; children in secondary school: “junior” and “scolaire”; children in primary school: “Prim”).
  • send their candidate number to the exam centre if they have already sat a DELF or DALF exam.
  • indicate any disability by providing medical certificate at time of registration.

  • receive draft paper to prepare their answers.

  • put away all of their personal items, switch off their electronic devices and place them where indicated by the invigilator.

Penalties will be incurred if the candidate does not respect these rules.

Diplômes et résultats

  • be impartially assessed.
  • see their corrected paper, regardless of the result, in line with the methods specified by the exam centre.
