The DELF-DALF, TCF and Ev@lang Meeting event, not to be missed
From 2 to 4 April 2024, the 6th edition of the DELF-DALF, TCF and Ev@lang Meeting event brought together 84 managers of FLE (Français Langue Étrangère, French as a Foreign Language) exam centres from 67 countries, who met in Sèvres at the offices of France Éducation international. The event was an opportunity for staff at DELF-DALF and TCF centres to come together, talk about their practices, and address the biggest challenges faced by managers and exam centres.
Various key topics were addressed, including communication, supporting exam centres in developing and maintaining the quality of certifications, preventing and fighting against fraud, making exams more profitable, and arranging exam sessions for candidates with specific needs.
The event was especially focused on developing management tools and innovation projects, as a testament to France Éducation international’s unwavering commitment to improving the global system of French-language certifications.
The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE, Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires Étrangères) was also involved: representatives of the Subdirectorate of French Language and Education advocated for certification as a key lever to cooperation in the field of education, thereby underscoring how crucial DELF-DALF and TCF system is for promoting the French language worldwide.
Key partners such as TV5 Monde, RFI, CNED (National Centre for Remote Education) and publishing houses specialised in FLE also contributed to the event’s success by sharing their expertise and resources.
The DELF-DALF, TCF and Ev@lang Meeting event once again showed what an important role it plays. It has become an unmissable date in the diary, helping to promote and improve the DELF-DALF and TCF system on a global scale. The event has made many countries more involved in the French-language certification process and has strengthened ties between relevant stakeholders, which in turn has created new opportunities for the future of French-language certifications abroad.
